Warranty information for AutoLast

AutoLAST Hybrid rust proofing system from AUTObLAST.

The guts of this warranty is that while rust cannot not be 100% eliminated, the AutoLAST hybrid rustproofing system will provide a MASSIVE improvement in the level of resistance to rust over and above that which is available from the factory.   Our goal is to protect the heart of the vehicle from catastrophic rust. In the same way as a bullet proof jacket protects the vital organs of the wearer. The AutoLAST hybrid rustproofing system protects the vital organs of your vehicle from structural corrosion.  In practice this means that some surface corrosion is still possible. Especially in high wear locations for example front lower suspension A arms. Autoblast will consider the AutoLAST hybrid rustproofing system a success if the main underbody structure of the vehicle is free of severe corrosion 3 years after the application.  We expect the protection to last much longer than only 3 years however to account for all circumstances that people expose their vehicles to, we will guarantee the main underbody structure for a period of 3 years from the date of application. If our expectations of rust proofing protection performance are not met we will meet the cost of repairs up to the value of $5000 for a period of three years after application.

If the vehicle underbody structure perforates by rusting through from the inside out or the outside in we will repair/replace at NO CHARGE.

We have a few conditions.

  • This warranty does not cover defects or recalls covered by the manufacturer’s warranty or known manufacture faults or recalls.  Autoblast will monitor manufacturers defects and recalls and attempt to notify customers of any such programs as they become aware of them.
  • This warranty is not transferable.
  • This warranty is limited to the vehicle underbody and excludes, rusting caused by stone chips, nicks, scratches, chips, all external panels, all mechanical parts, gas tank, engine oil pans, exhaust system, fuel line, brake lines paint peeling, bumper reinforcements and any component not reasonably accessible for rust-proofing treatment at Autoblast’s sole discretion. 
  • The maximum warranty repair cost is $5000.00
  • Autoblast, under the conditions of this warranty, shall not be responsible for lost time, inconvenience or any other consequential damage including loss of use of the vehicle in the event repairs are made to the vehicle under the conditions of this warranty.
  • Customers are responsible for maintaining a record of the AutoLAST hybrid rust proofing system application. Please keep your receipt.
  • Any rust repairs must be done at a facility chosen by Autoblast Ltd and at the authorisation of Autoblast Ltd for the warranty to be valid.
  • Any vehicle that is covered by the AutoLAST hybrid rust proofing system warranty that is involved in an accident must be reinspected by Autoblast Ltd within 30 days of the smash repairs being completed for checking and re application of rust proofing in the affected areas if deemed necessary by Autoblast Ltd.  A charge may apply. 
  • Autoblast Ltd may cancel the warranty depending on the extent of damage and/or quality of repair on the affected area. Areas where missing paint is not replaced & re-sprayed by Autoblast Ltd within 6 months of accident damage will invalidate the warranty.
  • At the first sign of rust or corrosion the customer must return their vehicle to an Autoblast facility where the surface corrosion will be treated on a no charge basis. 
  • This warranty consists of only what is mentioned in this document and supersedes any other warranty expressed or implied.
  • The AutoLAST hybrid rust proofing system by AUTObLAST Warranty terms and conditions may be updated from time to time.  In this case the old terms and conditions will cease to apply and the new terms and conditions will apply.
